Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number, company, account credentials, seller profile details, listing content, photographs, documents, inquiries, saved-search preferences, and messages. If we offer a paid service, our payment processor collects payment-card or other payment details; we receive payment status, transaction identifiers, the amount, currency, and limited billing information needed to administer the purchase. We also collect technical information needed to operate and secure the site, such as IP-address-derived one-way session keys used to limit duplicate listing-view counts, browser information, request logs, and event/usage data.

How we use information

We use personal information to provide and secure the marketplace; authenticate accounts; publish and administer listings; deliver inquiries to the applicable seller; process and administer paid services; send requested account, security, saved-search, billing, and transaction-related messages; send launch or product updates where you have opted in; prevent fraud, abuse, and spam; improve the service; and meet legal obligations.

When we disclose information

An inquiry includes the contact details and message you submit and is shared with the seller for the listing and with Redeploy HQ staff administering the marketplace. Public listings, seller names where enabled by the seller, photos, and documents marked public are visible to visitors and may be indexed by search engines. We also use service providers for hosting, database/authentication/storage, transactional email, and analytics. They may process information on our behalf and may be located outside Alberta or Canada. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, to protect people or the service, or in connection with a business transaction.

International visitors

Redeploy HQ is operated from Canada and may be accessed globally. Personal information may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other countries where our service providers operate. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or additional safeguards, we will use an appropriate lawful mechanism. Our US Privacy Notice contains state-specific information; people in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom should also read the regional rights section below.

Choices, access, and accuracy

You may update information in your account where that feature is available, manage saved searches, and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails. You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, or request account deletion by emailing michael_hodgson@live.ca. We may need to verify your identity and may keep information where required for legitimate business, security, legal, or record-keeping reasons.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including operating the marketplace, resolving disputes, protecting the service, and meeting legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet service or storage system is completely secure.

EEA and UK privacy rights

If the EU General Data Protection Regulation or UK GDPR applies to our processing, our legal bases include performing a contract or taking steps you request before a contract, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the marketplace, and consent where required. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to certain processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email michael_hodgson@live.ca. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

We will designate and publish an EU representative if required for the scope of our EU activities. We will designate and publish a UK representative if required for the scope of our UK activities.

Children and changes

Redeploy HQ is a business marketplace and is not directed to children. Do not submit personal information for a child without lawful authority. We may update this policy; the effective date above will show when the current version took effect.
